The 3rd Quarter Final of the world cup 2011 will be played tomorrow between one of the world cup favorite South Africa and New Zealand at Mirpur. South Africa has played one of there best world cup so far and had looked the most dominant team while New Zealand has pulled couple of good performances after beating Pakistan and Canada convincingly.
For the proteas for the 1st time there bowling has looked more dangerous than there batting. Whether its there spinners or there pacers all of them have performed in atleast 1 match. What it has been witnessed for the 1st time from South Africa is that they have played 3 spinners together and all of them have complimented each other while New Zealand bowling has looked thin in the absence of Daniel Vettori and the kiwis would be looking for there captain to return for the big match. The most satisfying thing for New Zealand is that Ross Taylor has come back into the form with his blistering innings against Pakistan and Canada.
Pitch and conditions
The pitch would play as it usual low annd slow but there is well amount of grass that has been left. Hot and humid weather is expected, and so dew could come into play if evening is cloudless, although its impact should be minimal.
South Africa (probable): 1 Graeme Smith (capt), 2 Hashim Amla, 3 Jacques Kallis, 4 AB de Villiers, 5 JP Duminy, 6 Morne van Wyk (wk), 7 Johan Botha, 8 Robin Peterson, 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Morne Morkel, 11 Imran Tahir
New Zealand (probable): 1 Brendon McCullum (wk), 2 Martin Guptill, 3 Jesse Ryder, 4 Ross Taylor, 5 Kane Williamson, 6 Scott Styris, 7 Jacob Oram, 8 Nathan McCullum, 9 Daniel Vettori (capt), 10 Tim Southee, 11 Kyle Mills.
